• If you are a registered user please order your prescription via the link at the top of this page. 
• If you are not registered please complete the Request Repeat Prescription Form or you can register for online services using the link at the top of the page.

If you are not able to use these forms, you can order your prescription by telephoning the dedicated “Prescription Line” on 01389 312200.  This is a 24 hour service which is available 7 days a week.

Your prescription can be collected at the practice or sent to a local pharmacy of your choice. You should allow 72 working hours from the time of your request to the prescription being completed by the practice. There is additional time for processing the prescription at the pharmacy. Please bear this in mind when ordering your prescription.  If there are any problems with your request the practice will contact you via phone or text message. 

We have a large volume of calls relating to prescription requests which block the phone lines for appointments and urgent matters. We ask that you leave 72 hours from when you have requested the medication to make any enquiries and contact your local pharmacy in the first instance if your prescription goes there directly. We thank you for your co-operation on this matter.

Non-repeat or "acute" medications are medications that have not added on to your "repeat" prescription. These are medicines which have been issued but may be for a trial period or require monitoring or review. You can still request these medications in the usual way but you may be asked to make an appointment for review. 

These requests may take longer than your repeat medications to be process as they need to be reviewed by a GP. They will still be done within 72 working hours. 

If you have forgotten to reorder your repeat medications, you may be able to get help from your pharmacy. Under the Urgent Provision of Repeat Medication Service, pharmacists may be able to supply you with a further cycle of a previously repeated medication without having to get a prescription. 

It is our practice policy that we do not prescribe diazepam, or other sedatives, for patients undergoing surgical or dental procedures or radiological investigations

The effects of sedatives vary between individuals and can be unpredictable and rarely life-threatening. The responsibility for prescribing and monitoring for side effects lies with the person carrying out the procedure.
